St John's Injury Update Pt 2

Pitino isn't lying about Luis having a pulled groin, Pitino pulled it himself for the kid. The kid tipped Pitino $50 afterwards.

It was slightly over 50/50 SJU last year in my opinion it looks like more SJU because they have the bast majority of the seats in the lower bowl. That said, I expect many more SJU fans there tomorrow. Best season since 84-85 and they are all in! Even those that have tix but can’t make it tomorrow are pressured to sell or give them to SJU rather than put them on the secondary market. I expect we will show up tomorrow but it could easily be 2/3 SJU fans.
Stopppp. Thats wild.

It was atleast 60-40 or IMO even 65-35 SJU.

No need to lie about these things

Was it? I was at the game last year. It seemed close to 50-50 with SJU fans in the lower ring and UConn fans in the higher ring

I thought it was 50/50 at worst, and probably closer to 60/40 UConn. And the articles from the national media that came out were saying 50/50. There's no way there were more St John's fans

I'm sure Luis is injured. I think he may tough it out like Hass does

Although it may be better to rest a hamstring

Our staff tends to rest kids, a lot, with Hass being an exception

Pitino is so full of crap. He’s a legend and needs to be above this sort of garbage but they call him Slick Rick for a reason.
He has nine lives, I’ll give him that. Any head coach who had a National Championship removed from the books, should be dead and buried, but here he is again.

There is no way St John's had more fans there than we did last year (I was there).

Perhaps in the section where you were sitting, but not in the Garden as a whole.

As much as MSG is Storrs South, the tickets for a St. John's home game skew Red. The Garden will be jumping both ways if teams take the lead from each other in runs of 8-0 or 12-3.

But...for each team
UConn: Hass trending up (healing) is a + from the last meeting; Liam not being in his first game back and now used to game speed is a + from the last meeting. Solo tends to step up in big games with ice in his veins is a + for us.

St. John's: Luis injury is a - to them even if he plays he will not be 100%. He may be a 1/2 step slower or cannot go to his left or right as fast as he could - might pick up a foul on D, etc. Noble if he plays though.

Net is a plus for us which in a tight game is great.
