MD had a nine point lead with about 9 minutes to go, obviously not a huge lead, but not one I had expected the Hawks to overcome

STILL 50-49 with under :30.
SJ misses 1-1 giving MD ball with chance to win.

Why was she taking a three pointer, down by 1?

Chatilla van Grinsven leading scorer with 18, and block on final play, if gamecast is correct. She's a senior transfer from Colorado State

What an embarrassing loss for Maryland. Top 5 teams should not be losing to St. Joe's.

Even with all they graduated it looks like Stanford and Notre Dame are still bigger threats than the soft ACC top teams.

Someone declared this to be "Top 10 Upset Weekend" without my realizing it. UConn had better not go to sleep on the court tomorrow.

Chatilla van Grinsven played for the Dutch national team, so I may have seen her play, but I honestly can't remember.

One of the starters for St Joe was former Terp Natasha Cloud. Not sure if Freese ran off Cloud or not, but i bet this victory is oh so sweet for her.

I'm wondering if the Women's game is slowly becoming like the Men's game where on any given day Top 25 teams can lose to mid majors and other schools not normally in the Top 25. With the men, I'm not as surprised where there is an upset as it happens frequently.

14!

High point scored more than that in a half against Kentucky.
USC Upstate scored more than that in a half against West Virginia.
Winthrop scored more than that in a half against Ohio State.

Yeah, I know UConn famously scored 12 in a half, but we thought the world was coming to an end (and we won). How often does a top 25 team score 14 or fewer in a half?

14 is the fewest points scored in half by a top 25 team this year.

Second place goes to Louisville who scored 16 in a half, but oddly, won.

MD did not score in the last seven (count 'em 7) minutes.

Neither team scored in the last 4:21.

I'm not sure which is more astounding.

Actually think some teams and may be overrated and a lot of recruits are underrated. Once all the hoopla and hype settles they get exposed.
