OT: St Joe's seeding for D3 tournament

Is that you, Glen? Congrats on the awesome season. For the record, I like Yeshiva if they can get past a tough Johns Hopkins squad in the first round.

Wesleyan vs St Joe's would be an absolutely electric matchup. Wesleyan has their best team literally ever and just beat bitter rivals Williams in OT to win the NESCAC at home. Silloway is an awesome D3 gym. There wasn't an open seat in the house, probably 100 people standing on Sunday afternoon. Their freshman point guard could be a D1 player (though he's short) and the rest of their rotation is full of very talented upperclassmen. One of the best big men in the country threw down a killer dunk in the championship game.

Really down year for the NESCAC. Only 2 teams in the NCAA Tournament. It was only a few years ago they were getting 5 teams in, which is by far more than any other conference.

Is this the actual D3 National final all these seem to be Northeast schools? Love to see Wesleyan St Joes final!

Skyline Conference final yesterday. The kid who dunked, Ryan Turell, is leading all NCAA divisions in scoring this season.

Amar'e Stoudemire and Enes Kanter were at his game this weekend. He's getting actual NBA scouting as a D3 player. Pretty impressive

Yes I watched. Loved how Enes and Amar’e stood with the president of YU as he said a prayer for the people of Ukraine.

Knicks president Leon Rose was at a YU game last month to watch Turell. Kid is a walking bucket but he really needs to bulk up if he were to have any chance at sticking in the NBA.

The tweet mentions First Round pairings, so likely a true regional, because of much lower travel budgets.
D3 has participating schools host pods of 4 schools (including themselves) in the first and second rounds, and then again for the Sweet 16 and Elite 8 rounds. Only the Final Four is a pre-determined off campus location. Obviously done for travel and economic reasons. More like a state high school tournament than the D1 tournament we're used to.

This kid has a really interesting story. Grew up in California and had D1 offers. When he told his parents he wanted to go to Yeshiva they asked him why since they thought he wanted to play D1. He asked them why they sent him to Jewish day schools his whole life. They laughed and said go for it.

We're not still pretending that we give a crap about St. Joe's are we?
Some of us love college basketball. A lot. Even D3, which is surprisingly fun to watch. St. Joe’s has a UConn connection. And it’s in Connecticut. There are many other threads on this board that have even less of a connection to UConn hoops. This thread’s existence really bothers you?

I was just asking. I don't care about D3 UHar either.
