Last night in Seattle. Hit the first pitch he saw after a few days off over the fence, then hit another one into the back if the bullpen. Both against Brandon Maurer, who's no joke.

Both teams wore their 70's polyester unis which meant that the best game of his short big-league career came in resplendent rainbow orange!

Adds another today. Two-run shot in 6th that turned a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 lead. Astros went on to win 4-1.

Nice to see him showing more flashes - was worried he could get sent down again.

@LanceZierlein: George Springer has hit safely in 19 of his last 22 games with all 7 of his HRs coming over last 13. It’s finally happening.

@raford3: George Springer missed first 14 games of the season, joining #Astros on 4/16. He now tied for the team lead in homers & second in RBIs.

Good thing I have him on my fantasy team. :)

Just missed today - off the wall with a bullet in straightaway center for a 2-run double instead of a 3-run homer. But he's 3-3 with two doubles (both deep), four runs and two RBI.

Never mind - he just crushed one. Absolutely crushed it. After a great running catch into the wall to end the inning before.

His line score is 4-5-4-3 with two doubles and a homer.

He's not going anywhere for a while.

It took him a while to figure it out but he has it now. He still needs to tap into his base-stealing potential however.

Springer just homered in 1st at bat today...his 9th. Six homers in last six games. Wow. Announcers having a Springer lovefest.

Headed tonight to the Astros / Twins game tonight at Target Field.. (big game I know..)...but am very interested in seeing Springer up close and see what he can do...

After an 81 minute rain delay at the start of the game (where it didn't rain at all), Springer struck out in his first 2 at bats swinging at 8 straight pitches. Third at bat finally had him take one pitch and then muscle out an opposite field 2 run HR off of Phil Hughes. Then struck out again...All or nothing last night..
