More fuel for the fire. Sports books usually get it right. Its their busine$$. This is one more positive for UConn going into tomorrow's game. Most of the talking heads pick UConn to win. Optimistic Gamecock fans like their chances. Per postings on their board, they think their time is now.

The mindset of SC is "we're hoping to win" UConn's mindset is: we EXPECT to win". SC also knows they can't come out slow, or fall behind early. They know if UConn gets up on them early, it will be almost impossible to catch up. A champion never thinks about losing. They contemplate all of the different ways they can break their opponent's will, and take their lunch money.

Geno has played too many BIG games like this, not to know how to prepare his girls for this game. He will have his squad ready mentally and physically to engage the Gamecocks tomorrow evening.

Exactly correct. Betting lines have nothing to do with who the bookmaker thinks will win and by how much...it's all about distributing the betting. If you want to know a real odds line that doesn't have anything to do with money, Massey or Sagarin are a better 'bet'. As of this AM, Sagarin and Massey both have UConn by 11.5.

Where do you see 11.5 for Sagarin? If I compare the "predictor" ratings and then give SC 3.1 for home court I get UConn by 17.
