What are thoughts on ridiculous penalties and fines within all pro and college sports recently. In college basketball you get a flagrant when a defender gets too close and you extend your arms upwards and happen to hit him with an elbow. These athletes are the most conditioned and fit people in the world. If they can't take an elbow then what can they take. Also the NFL's most recent ban on goalpost dunks is outrageous. Sports are a source of entertainment, if your jumping 40 inches off the ground to catch a touchdown with one hand you should be able to celebrate however you'd like. Sure athletes are role models and set examples but what harm does dunking a football over a goal post do. It's safe to say that the NFL has gone soft, what will they penalize next, spiking the ball ?
