cardfan: do you know what "booked by the referee" means? I'm too nervous to watch so am following online at fifa website, and I don't understand what that phrase means?

Did she get a red/yellow card? Expelled?

It means she got carded. Usually yellow. I assume they play-by-play would make a bigger deal if it were a red.

Actually you can see that it was a yellow card at the FIFA site -- next to the player name there's a yellow card.
 
Thanks. It does seem as if Canada is fouling more than the US. Or at least called for more. Maybe Canada's coach will whine about that if they (PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE) lose to the US.
