Great comeback by Spain. Game tied at 46 after 3 Qs.

Being shown on NBCSP

Spain pulling away - up 7 with 2:55 remaining

make that 9 with 2:30 remaining

Spain has been dogging it all tourney. Make no mistake- they'll play their best ball against Team USA.

The U.S. had a big second half to rout Ginobli, Scola, Nocioni, et al.

Team USA is not as strong in the post as they might be, but you have a ton of ball-handlers, Carmelo (plays terrific basketball on Team USA), Durant (just a monster), Love (tearing it up on the boards), and LeBron (playing some really special ball). Really enjoy watching this team put it together thus far. But Spain has a lot of "Opal potential" as far as being a team that looks off until they play the US.

The U.S. got some steals late, but generally I was not impressed with their defense. On offense, they got the ball to the hot guys enough.

When USA decides to play defense and gets turnovers, then their offense gets hot and they make their 3's. Play defense on Spain's guards and Team USA should win by double digits. Can't believe how hot Team USA sometimes get on their 3 point shooting. Can they do it for one more game.

Carmelo and Durant are just scoring machines, and overall, despite not having some of the guys on the team they might have liked (Rose, Wade, Bosh, Howard, Griffin), they actually have the top six scorers in the NBA from last year. When that happens, you're going to be a threat to erupt.
