And the D1 ranks continue to grow (assuming it’s approved).

Supposedly pursuing horizon , Ohio valley, Atlantic Sun.
Ohio valley could really use new members.

They have joined the OVC from 2022.

Southern Indiana is not a football school. Ohio Valley Conference will be down to 5 football schools once various teams leave conference, so one would expect either further expansion or more teams to leave the conference. It looks like it is probable that Murray State's football team might remain in the conference for the 2022 season.

.-.
One more for OVC:

So they are finally taking the full plunge into Division 1 athletics. Lindenwood University has had a Division 1 women's ice hockey team since the 2011-2012 season.

I don’t think the OVC is done. It would not surprise me if Tennessee Tech and Tennessee State went elsewhere. I do think Grand Valley State would accept an invite if it came.

Lindenwood does play Football and will be upgrading. Surprisingly, it is a university in St Charles, MO. St. Louis demo. And it will be the only D1 (FCS) football playing university near St. Louis.
