Only Pac 12 game this Friday. That's gonna be weird.

Ok, I didn't get to vote but UCLA it is and yes, I will be on this game thread. Captain Morgan and Ginger Ale with a lime while I do taxes....Will the UCLA High School player get any time?

This is a real ugly game early. 5-3 at the 5:25 mark

@nwhoopfan LIED, he said there would be a game Friday night, this is massacre- 43-23 at the half. The sad new is UCLA looks as if they are hardly trying.

USC thought the season was already over. No shows 3 straight games. I don't think they have any signficant injured players out now, can't blame it on that. Pili isn't 100% probably but she's been playing.

Okay, when Corsaro has 14 points early in Q3 you know it's your day. Also Onyenwere is 8-12, she hasn't been efficient in very many games this year.

Just keeps getting worse. 74-42 early in Q4. Will USC ever make the Tourney again? Haven't been since 2014 and they've had plenty of talent pass thru.

Whoa, UCLA is 14-21 on 3's today. They've been running extremely hot or extremely cold lately. Scorching against the Ducks and Trojans, couldn't hit against the Beavers.

Hmm...rivalry game? USC had cut the lead to a bit under 30, now UCLA pushed way up to 42 in the closing minutes. No mercy!

93-51 final. 30 for Onyenwere, 18 for Osborne, 14 for Corsaro, team goes 16-23 behind the arc.

18 for Pili and 14 for Jenkins.

Anyone gonna stick up for USC? Convince me the team hasn't totally mailed it in to end the season. Last 3 games, all at home 52-77, 48-72 and 51-93. And that was with a potential Tourney bid on the line. Something stinks in LA.

No way to stick up for a 40 point loss to a rival.

should be pitchforks and torches heading to a coach’s house if past her first two years.

It appeared that USC played harder and actually did better with their injury replacements than they did once they got them back. I am not a fan of the USC coach. He recruits better than he coaches and it appears that former might have already caught up with the former. USC certainly has had a series of stinkers for coaches. There is no reason for them to not be in the top half of the league based on their recruiting location.

Wasn't Trakh at UCSB, which always seemed to be a thorn in the side of favored teams once the post-season started? I've been sort of surprised that USC has not risen to near the top of the Pac 12 during his tenure.

After his first stint at USC he had a successful run at New Mexico St. He actually had a better record in Round 1 at USC than he does currently (at least in conference, which is what really counts). Had to look it up, he had a 10 year stint at Pepperdine before moving to USC the first time.

Year 4 of the 2nd stint at the school for him.

Hmm...I wonder who I'm thinking about, then. I know once upon a time, UCSB was a solid mid-major you did NOT want to meet in the post-season.

Had to look a couple places. Between '92 and '04 they won a number of first round games, had one Sweet 16. Coach for all those years was Mark French.

After '04 they had 4 more Tourney appearances, all first round losses, all blowouts. 2 of them under French, and then 2 other coaches. They've had a revolving door of coaches since French left after '08.

If I were a SoCal fan, I would bee fetching my pitchfork after a 40 point loss to our rival.
The thing is, there are hardly any of those. Maybe that's part of the problem. Pre-covid their attendance would be in the 800-900 range. No, I did not forget a zero.

USC has a nice arena for WBB. I sat in a comfy seat there for some games once when the Pac-12 men and women both played their season tournament in LA. Some games were at Staples Center and some at USC, which are walking distance apart. But indeed if you were a USC WBB fan, you'd be a rarity.
