I cancelled my subscription but I think I'm good through this weekend so ... YAY!!

This looks to be best game of the bunch and USF hasn't exactly shown well this season.

At their last game, where they just squeaked by the Vandals of Idaho, South Florida was without both Bethy Mununga (leading rebounder and #2 scorer) and Elisa Pinzan (#1 in assists). If they're unavailable for this game, there's no way USF even stays close.

One small bit of good news for USF is that sophomore Sydni Harvey (12 ppg last year) returned to action against Idaho.

Hope we can get back on track. Our last 3 games seemed like our weakest point since the 2015-2016 year where we ended being thumped by UConn. We've been on a roll since, and now it seems like we're down a little.

Don't worry. USF is just what the doctor ordered.

.-.
Could've used this Bibby against Stanford and West Virginia.

A better Bibby was the difference between being 8-2 vs undefeated.

Would USF be a quality win? I know that's subjective.
Not likely, unless they were to upset MSU tonight. Currently in the 60s of Massey. Only non-cupcake win is over Texas.

Mildly shocked that USF managed to put up 37 points in the 1st half, but clearly they can't defend MSU. Bibby going off with 19 points, 5-7 from 3.

USF cuts the lead to 5 in 3Q. Vic calls timeout. Again, I'm amazed USF is in this. They were down by 17 early.

.-.
Wow, South Florida staying with the Dawgs and UT-Martin staying with Louisville.

The refs consistently let MSU get away with blatantly blocking the cutters when in the full court press.

Well.... Vic trying to wear USF down with depth in the 2nd quarter by using all reserves worked again.

Wiggins is the ultimate change of pace player. Said this before that more Wiggins, the better.

.-.
In summary, the final was 86-61. USF ran out of gas after closing to one point in the 3rd. Bulldogs ended the game on a 35-11 run.

Stars for the winners were Chloe Bibby with 21 and 9 (17 on 5 threes in the 1Q), Rickea Jackson with 17 and 10 (she has a chance to be a huge star), Jessika Carter with 15 and 6 (efficient if not impressive) and Jordan Danberry with 12 pts, 2 rebs, 5 assts, 4 steals and 2 blocks (a boxscore stuffing machine).

Solid win after a lethargic start to the 3rd. I was concerned about this game after the last two showings (not gonna call Stanford a bad game considering the quality of the opponent).

Did not see this game but looked at game stats. We got out rebounded again, that has been a strength for MSST but as of today appears to be a huge weakness. Both Rickea and Chloe got more rebounds than Jessica and for the last few games Jessica‘s lack of rebounds has been noticeable, anyone aware if she has an injury or anything that may be causing the drop off in rebounding?

Rickea Jackson is going to be great. In the games I saw where she struggled everything looked about right. Just a matter of adjusting to the level and calming down a bit.

Same with Horston.

Well, we gotta acknowledge last year's team had two of the 4 or 5 best rebounders in WCBB playing together.

I wouldn't call it a weakness yet, just not a strength. I'm certain Vic has been in Chloe and Rickea's ears about getting on the boards to help Jessika, just like he had to do with VV. Vivians became a solid rebounder for a wing scorer playing with a rebounding phenom (McCowan) by her senior year.

What does M Taylor actually do?

Love me some Maria Taylor, great announcer. Had no idea her first name was Suzette.

The question was concerning Myah Taylor. Mississippi State PG.

I do like Maria Taylor though.

Whatever happened to AEH? She really faded this year, and doesn't appear to have made it into the game in this first half? Injury?

Real disappearance after playing well down the stretch for Mississippi State. Is that related to what Coach Geno saw before she departed?

Not to be dismissive, but this has been asked and answered in multiple other threads already. In short, she's not injured, just not producing as Vic needs/wants from her.

The current MSU game thread is happening over here.
