Thanks Shades. Did not know about this game. Voted USF since they have alot to prove.
 
I'm really curious to see how USF, more a finesse team IMHO, handles the mugging they are about to experience with the UCF style of play. UCF is easily my least favorite team in the American and I miss players like Hansmeyer (Bam Bam) who could go into games as an "enforcer" and knock other teams around a bit.
 
Just hoping that this game doesn't run long because that would impact the televised start of our UConn game. So hopefully this game is a blowout with minimal TOs and fouls. :)
My vote is UCF in a slugfest blowout (meaning the refs let them play :rolleyes:).
 
I can see UCF winning this game. USF reminds me of TENN...games they should win...don't and vice versa. Simple as that. Them foreigners like their afternoon naps. :D (I'm one of them)

How Dangerous would UCF be if they had a couple of scorers (one a 3 point shooter) and they still played the defense that they do?
 
14-11 after one quarter. How did the last three minutes of this quarter take that long?
 
UCF can't score enough points to win this game. USF has too many weapons regardless of how good UCF's defense is.
 
I did not know Laksa leads the country in FT % at 97.5. That is impressive.

This UCF team has just bought into Abrahamson-Henderson's style. They play gritty, hard nosed, in your face BB that is ugly and effective. It is brute ball that any in the SEC would recognize immediately. Fun to watch? For me not at all. But I'll tell you what. Give them an NCAA berth and no one will want to play these guys.
 
Close game into the 4th quarter. We know what tough games UCF has given UCONN this yeast, better than some of those “ranked” teams. It would be ridiculous if they didn’t make the tourney.
 
With USF's help UCF is trying to prove me wrong by leading in this game with 6 minutes left. Still think I"m right, that USF has too many scorers.
 
USF does not handle pressure very well. The will break the press occasionally for open shots but I would keep the pressure on. Those cross court passes are ripe for the picking.
 
Slow game, hope it doesn't end up being a foul fest in the last 5 minutes to slow it down even more

Right now body language favors UCF. They are getting the rebounds and making the crucial plays. Very entertaining game.
 
Laksa is in "Oh Crap, these shots mean something so I will panic mode"
 
UCF could have built this 5 point lead to a double digit lead. Instead they only lead by 3 with 3 minutes left. So many missed opportunities. Still they lead the game. Haven't counted but they must have 5 or 6 consecutive possessions where they haven't scored a basket.
 
USF leads 60 to 57 with 1:11 left in the game. Two dagger 3 points shots gets them the lead. Don't see them giving it up now. UCF doesn't have a 3 point shooter.
 
Game tied @ 1:30 left. Just shows that 2nd place in the Big 10 would only be good enough 4th at best in the AAC.

What a game this has been. Very exciting. Glad UConn does not have many games like this! three point game under a minute left.
 
IF they were going to Foul UCF should have committed the fouls with 30 seconds left, not 17 seconds. Now down 3 with 17 seconds left.
