It's 24-23 Elon with 5:55 left in the first half. My son goes to Elon so I'm rooting for the Phoenix!

Last year, the Elon women, in only their 2nd(? I think) year after moving up to the CAA, made a pretty deep run into the WNIT. I spoke with someone from the Athletics office this fall, at an Elon-New Hampshire football game, and there's a strong commitment to the men's AND women's sports there. Good for them! I wish more schools felt that way.

Basically what I learned... pick and roll them to death. All that size and almost all of the guards have a hard time knowing what to do and where to go on screens.

I am surprised at how hard they played. I only watched the last 3 quarters as I got home late and I may go back and watched the first but Elon was out there hustling like they believed they had a shot at winning. That takes buy in for sure.
