I haven't started one of these in awhile. Plenty of other posters taking my job. ;) But seeing as we are going from April to May (both women/girls names), I figured here's an idea. (See you gotta make these kind topical, somehow. - like one about flowers, spring, etc would have been good recently. ) We can do songs with a women's name or girls name, female name, however you chose to say it. And you can even use those male/female names like Pat, Jessie, Jody, etc. (extra points for using UCONN players names :D)

Anyway, so songs with a women or girl's name in the Title. So to welcome Ms Williams, I'll start with Sara. Ok it's not spelled the same (either one), but the thought is there.

Sara - Fleetwood Mac

Ok, have at it.

Lovely Rita, Polythene Pam, Michelle, Eleanor Rigby, Sexy Sadie, Dear Prudence, Lady Madonna, The Ballad of John and Yoko, Julia, Martha My Dear

Given that the 2025–2026 version of the Huskies will have two Sa(e)rahs to make us smile, I offer "Sara Smile" by Hall & Oates:
Then I guess with 2, we should go with Que Sera Sera. (ok I'm breaking my own rules and/or that's really spelled wrong)
But for Strong and Williams....I get a pass. (yeah, that's Doris Day)

I guess I better put a couple in here before all the good names are taken. Some "southern rockish".

Molly - The Dirty Roses

A sad song. A Shel Silverstein song. (He wrote a bunch of them for these guys.) You might know him better for his books. The Giving Tree and Where The Sidewalk Ends.

The Ballad of Lucy Jordan - Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show
