OT: Songs with Woman/Girl's Name

Welp... I've scanned the entire thread a couple times and of all the "Mary" songs I don't think I see "Proud Mary".
So... Proud Mary
Let me know if I've stepped on someone else's post.

It's a coin-flip whether to choose CCR for the traditional version or Tina Turner for raw energy.
I kinda lean towards Tina but I'll let someone else make the tough call.

Great list. I had to include Jay Black and the Americans here. What a voice.

Kinda surprised but I didn't see either of these yet; same name, different songs
Venus

Up first - Frankie Avalon

And I chose Bananarama instead of Shocking Blue:

And going deep in the library of 80s Canadian Rock for this one;
Streetheart - Snow White
R.I.P. Kenny Shields

Well, if you are going to open with a Frankie Avalon, you leave me no choice but to match with a Bobby Darin.

Caution: If you are sensitive-eared, this is Darin's phat-shaming version of Clementine.
