Like but @8893 beat you post #132
You’re of your mind. That studio version is tremendous. One of the tightest and most air-guitar-irresistible solos ever. The whole album is fantastic. If this is a cheesy group of studio musicians, I must be a mouse:His was a cheesy studio version. This live at Royal Albert Hall. Totally different. Totally.

- Eric Clapton – lead guitar, lead vocals
- Delaney Bramlett – rhythm guitars, backing vocals
- Stephen Stills – guitars, bass ("Let It Rain"), backing vocals
- Leon Russell – pianos
- John Simon – pianos
- Bobby Whitlock – organ, backing vocals
- Carl Radle – bass
- Jim Gordon – drums
- Tex Johnson – percussion
- Bobby Keys – saxophones
- Jim Price – trumpet
- Jerry Allison – backing vocals
- Bonnie Bramlett – backing vocals
- Rita Coolidge – backing vocals
- Sonny Curtis – backing vocals
Admittedly I am biased. I like young Clapton. Old Clapton not so much. It's actually one of my favorite songs. As you said, great, tight song throughout.
And yes, it's basically an all-star lineup with Sills, Bramlett (Two of 'em), Radle, Gordon, Keys, etc.
How can it be cheesy since that is the original song, Clapton wrote this with the help of Bonnie and Delaney Bramlett. There would be no Let It Rain at the Iconic Royal Albert Hall with out the original. His was a cheesy studio version. This live at Royal Albert Hall. Totally different. Totally.
Love me some Bobby Keys "the 5th Stone"You’re of your mind. That studio version is tremendous. One of the tightest and most air-guitar-irresistible solos ever. The whole album is fantastic. If this is a cheesy group of studio musicians, I must be a mouse:

I love Stephen Stills. He's always been so underrated IMO. Amazing guitar player, voice/singer, songwriter. You’re of your mind. That studio version is tremendous. The 2 hour show has a phone interview with David Lowery that wraps around songs by him, Cracker, and Camper Van Beethoven.
Snap, Crackle, POP! with Alec Cumming (fill-in for The Flux Capacitor with Martha Willette Lewis)
I don’t think I’ve ever seen another video with more than one billion views:
