OT: Songs That Start With a Sound Effect

Surprised we haven't seen this yet...

Don't know if a female MC speaking Dutch qualifies as a sound effect…

A favorite in my distant youth…

Yello - The Race
Ok, a little bit tongue in cheek, but I actually like these guys and will listen to a whole album on a longish trip.
Extended version.

I thought I saw it. But it might have gotten lost in all the other Pink Floyd.
I went through all four pages, but I probably missed it

It is likely me. I saw it and thought they meant "Money" thinking "nice!" and then contentedly listened to some Ummagumma.

The live versions are better, but they are missing the camel (?) walking in the desert at daybreak in Mdou Moctar's "Chismiten":

Does a guy "playing" a bottle at the beginning of "Watermelon Man" count as a sound effect? I think so:

The approach cough leading into Black Sabbath's "Sweet Leaf":

Ha! While I was trying to decide whether a cough qualified as a sound effect as per the guidelines, you decided for me.
So I'll glom onto your post with a cover of Sweet Leaf I was going to use:
PRS Guitars had a 40th anniversary concert with a bunch of PRS artists. Some stellar musicians.....
I like live performances and the backing band was excellent, guess it kinda had to be...
Gary & Greg Grainger (brothers) are the bassist and drummer.

@Sifaka Nice throwback from German Beat Club show! That's Uschi Nerke the long time German hostess of Beat Club and Musikladen (Music Store) in the late 60's into the 70's. She is thanking the previous performer, Tiny Tim, and introducing "Bonzo Dog Do-Dah Band" who were Nr. 16 on the Hit Parade at the time.

The show was being done in color by 1971 when Uschi introduced Ike and Tina Turner. Admittedly the song did not really start with a sound effect, but neither did your Bonzo Dog entry, and besides Tina Turner was by herself a sound and visual effects force of nature - I remember watching this episode when it was first broadcast - my German friends did not know what to think of Tina:

It is a "stylized" cough with an effect put on it. I would object to the cough at the end of "In My Time of Dying" in the coming "songs that end with a sound effect" thread.

This one actually uses an actual sound effect (of a loon), that they eventually had to pay a royalty for using.
Who did they have to pay the royalty to? The loon?
