This story of a famous train wreck in 1908, was first sung in 1924 by Vernon Dalhart and became the first million selling record in country music. This Seeker's version has pictures of the wreck. Johnny Cash also has a good version.

The Longest Day.
Iron Maiden.
2006.
A Matter Of Life And Death album.

D-Day.

Overlord, your master, not your God.
The enemy coast dawning grey with scud.
These wretched souls, puking, shaking fear.
To take a bullet for those who sent them here.

The world's alight.
The cliffs erupt in flame.
No escape, remorseless shrapnel rains.
Drowning men, no chance for a warrior's fate.
A choking death, enter Hell's gates.

Never Again.
Disturbed.
2010.
Asylum album.

Holocaust.

They had a frightening desire for genocide.
They wouldn't stop 'til what was left of my family died.
Hell-bent on taking over the world.
You couldn't hide in the shroud of conformity.

We can't forget how we were devastated by the beast.
And how we pleaded with our captors for release.
We were hunted for no reason at all.
One of the darkest times in our history.

Power Windows album.

The big bang, took and shook the world.
Shot down the rising sun.
The end was begun, it would hit everyone.
When the chain reaction was done.
