OT: Songs That Mention Food and/or Drink

Challenged as YT is blocked at work so I cannot see if anyone posts YT but does not post the mention...

1. "Brown Sugar" is a baking ingredient and was a hell of a Rolling Stones song.
2. "Killer Queen" by Queen "she keeps her Moet and Chandon"...
3. "McArthur Park" love Donna Summer's version had a few food mentions
4. "Saturday in the Park" by Chicago had a man selling ice cream [singing Italian songs...]
5. Led Zeppelin has many but even "Misty Mountain Hop" had them stop for tea
6. "Do You Feel Like I do" by Frampton mentions a Sherman cigar but also wine glass "who's wine, what wine, where the hell did I dine?"

Who stole the Keeshka!
Sorry John Candy! But Frankie is the king!

Another drinking song from Robert Jon (see above). Got all kinds in here. Wine, Tequila, Bourbon, etc. Fan video.

Tired of Drinking Alone - Robert Jon and the Wreck

You need to take 12 steps forward! How many songs about whiskey? ;)

Was thinking of this before the other song popped up. More sugar. Might be metaphorical not literal like another previously discussed song.

More metaphors? Are any of these songs actually about food?

What a great song from Jerry Jeff Walker.

Throwin' out those LA papers and moldy vanilla wafers:

@nwhoopfan , speaking of peaches. And I don't mean to make this political.

Peaches - The Presidents of the United States of America

Here is another song with the title of "Sugar and Spice." Recorded in 1966, I like this version a bit better than the recording by The Searchers who recorded it in 1963.

Leanin' up against the metaphors again while keeping with the 'Popsicle' theme. Some interesting lyrics....
Michael Franks - Popsicle Toes
Don't really remember when I first heard this....long time ago.

My bus driver when I was growing up liked country music, and I remember this one from the drive to school in the morning. Country music isn't my thing, but I do agree with the sentiment of this song (and it DOES make me a jolly good fellow).

I like Tom's storytelling style, and I admit to liking quite a lot of what I call 'old country'.

Tom T Hall - Old Dogs, Children, and Watermelon Wine

Speaking of beer - one eye out of the barroom door otta do it:

Shakey's Pizza was THE pizza place out in Calif. back in the 60's/70's. Not great pizza, but to most folks in the West back then, Shakey's pie was what pizza was supposed to taste like.

Most locations had live musical entertainment most evenings, straw-hat Dixieland for the most part... Fun place to go.

They also had at least one submit-a-jingle contest over the years...

This Sacramento jazz band wrote one as a joke, obviously didn't submit it, not original.... but a hell of a lotta fun!

I don't know why it took me as long as it did to find this band. It's country, but I think there's quite a bit of rock in their DNA.
