You surprised me with this one. I know your tastes are eclectic, but didn't realize Beach House is in your repertoire.
I actually discovered them on the Boneyard, posted by someone who's no longer on the board. You're absolutely right that shoegaze isn't my thing, but I sure do love a couple of Beach House albums.

Well, Scud opened his thread up for instrumentals, for which I'm thankful. This is a suite of folk tunes put together by Richard Farina. It was performed at the Newport Folk Festival in the pouring rain; I'm not sure if that's where the title came from, but the feel is definitely of one of those lazy days you spend indoors. (Don't be put off by it starting out with Frere Jacques; it's not a piece of fluff.)
