UConn factoid. I’m not sure if they still do anything like this, but when I was a student, UConn had a community fund raising week in the spring with many events. It included a week of song dedications on WHUS for a money pledge. At the time, UConn had a Dean of Men, somewhat unfairly vilified by students, named John “Jack” Dunlop. And every money raising marathon some group, usually a frat, would pledge a bunch of money to have Hit the Road Jack played about 20 times in a row dedicated to Dunlop.
