Songs About Summer

Colin Blunstone had a haunting voice. (Rod Argent on keyboards)

Felt bad for Blunstone as his band never got their due while playing, and he became a furniture salesman for a year. Comes back with "One Year" album featuring "Caroline Goodbye"about his break up with Caroline Munro who thereafter was a Bond girl and her career blew up well.

Another Walkin in the rain (no relation). This one was covered by Grace Jones; her version is good, but I prefer the original.

I first came across Caroline Lavelle as Loreena McKennitt's touring cellist. She sang one song during the show (and she plays barefoot), and I looked to see if she had any CD's out as soon as I got home. I bought all three, sadly she hasn't put out any in like 25 years. She has a lovely, smoky alto voice.

Manhattan Transfer:

Come all ye fair and tender ladies
Take warning how you court your men
They’re like a star on a summer morning
They first appear and then they’re gone....
