Something up with Taysum...BYU backup getting lots of reps

Listen to the first two minutes. Interesting that these guys are that concerned. Like I said in the other thread, you can beat BYU. Especially if Hill is out/suspended. Again, don't listen to blinded cougar fans like kccoug. He overestimates BYU and thinks it still the 1980's. Hill is an amazing athlete. Terrible passer. If you can keep him in the pocket, you can win the game.

Here is some info on the QB position at BYU. Before spring ball, their depth charts looked like this:

Taysom Hill
Ammon Olson
Billy Green
Christian Stewart

Early this year, both Ammon Olson and Billy Green (Green played last year for BYU at QB) transfered out of the program. That bumped Stewart up to backup QB. Now, Hill is struggling throwing the ball, remember what BYU's beat writer said, "Hill definitely isn't any worse than he was last year" and they are considering going with Christian Stewart, who just a few months ago was their fourth string QB.

So much for Heisman Hill.

This game will come down to TO's. If you can not have any TO's and keep Hill in the pocket, you have a great shot to win.

Take a listen to Matt's podcast. Around the 10 minute mark, he asked Dick Harmon (BYU beat) about Hill. Harmon said that Hill is part of a self-reported incident that happened in the offseason. Hill got married and he got a gift of some sort that was in NCAA violation. He's repaid (or returned) the gift. Harmon said that he thinks that the coaching staff would be shocked if Hill did not play. He said the NCAA has told BYU that they are "swamped" and would try to reply sometime in the coming week. But they're approaching the game as if Hill will play the whole game unless it's a blowout.

Completely agree. Schools like UNC and Notre Dame can get away with academic fraud and BYU self-reports a friggin' wedding gift and his eligibility for our game is still in question 1 week before it kicks off. Complete horsespit.
