It doesn't matter how late it was in the game. Roscoe was horsecollared. That should be a foul EVERY SINGLE TIME.

I am Roscoe's biggest fan probably but that wasnt a foul. He should have passed to Andre for a wide open dunk or just pulled up or the 8 foot jumper. You are not going to get a foul on the weak thing that Scoe put up there and get bailed out. The referees didnt decide the game we just didnt make the plays at the end that we needed to and Syracuse did.

First off, you should be ashamed for using that thread title. It's a fckng basketball game, pal.

Secondly, last week the same thing happened against Nova in the last minute -- contact, no call. Didn't hear you calling for SVU then.

Andre was open, Rscoe should have passed it.....other than that he played very well.

Obviously a foul, but if roles were reversed, I'm screaming 'You can't make that call there!', so it is what it is I guess.

Smith couldn't pass the ball because his arm was being held by Fair. Smith was fouled both before and during the shot.

Drummond was certainly open but doubt Roscoe makes that pass very often in games or practice, so his thought process was always go to the hoop. Someone else probably makes the pass. If Roscoe is fouled, doubt he makes two, so better for him he doesn't live with that for the rest of his life. As for the call, the same play at other points in the game might be called a foul, but not called in that situation too often. "Most" refs don't like to decide games and Burr is one not afraid to make that call. I agree with the post above that a foul could also have been called at Villanova, so as much as I like to get on the refs for making bad calls, I give them the benefit of the doubt on this one.

Didn't see the replay, but wouldn't have called it live.

Roscoe should have taken the first shot but I think it was better defense than anything Roscoe did.

Even if they call a foul there, I don't see Cuse losing, may change it to a 1 point loss or a loss in OT but I don't think UConn had enough to win.

Just watched the replay. You guys are idiots, Roscoe was parallel with the ground - no foul. If you're looking for blame then blame our play call. don't blame the refs

I guess early in the game there might have been a call before the shot on fair. He hacks pretty hard at Roscoe two or three times (and hits him) before the shot. That is never called with that amount of time left. No foul on the actual shot and Roscoe made it easier by fading rather than trying to go up strong.

Overall it was a pretty fairly called game, but I'm sorry, that was a foul. The "Swallow the whistle in the final seconds" rule should be used in boarderline cases only. It was pretty clear Fair grabbed him from behind, both from where I was sitting, and on the replay.

Really? A Villanova player was yanked to the ground? Care to share any evidence of that happening?
