I was looking under NBA transactions, as I was curious of details on Cam and if Tristen was signed. July 9 had a peculiar listing.

Dan Hurley signed to 6 year contract with the Lakers. (I can’t get it to take my screenshot.

Or, As William of Ockham would observe: ESPN is unattentive and careless in their posting. Indeed, Hurley signed a contract, just not with that entity.

They even got the terms wrong. My guess is this one of things like newspapers writing obituaries for famous people so they can print quickly when the person kicks, then someone uploads the obit by mistake.

Or, as someone who would actually used to program those pages… it is AI and automated. They eliminated my group because they thought they could automate what we were doing from an
editorial standpoint.

They can’t. It’s part of their big problem. Love people who work there, but management sucks. I like the person in charge of editorial now, but hands are tied.
