Side note - I did not add in the Tenn-Va Tech game in the poll since I could not fathom a scenario where that game would be remotely close. And yet, Va Tech leading after the 1st quarter 18-10. Go figure...

Also another side note - Regan Magarity - a one time UCONN target who came from Sweden, is playing for Va Tech. I thought she had some decent potential when I read about her back in the day...

I really like Deb Antonelli but she is giving props to Staley and her offensive improvement this season. Meanwhile Melanie Balcomb-an offensive coach-is sitting right behind the bench. Not a mention of her. Balcomb is an excellenct xx/oo coach. To me that's the big difference I see in South Carolina this season. Well that and the transfers--Davis and Gray!

I gotta say, Charette Hicks, a sophomore for VT, has impressed the heck out of me: 18 points and 8 steals (!) through the 3rd quarter. Lightning quick and athletic.

VT up by 11 going into 4th quarter. Tennessee better figure something out fast.

What's the estimated crowd. Saw a pic on twitter, arena looks empty. So Carolina usually travels well to their away games.

A couple hundred; we had about a thousand at our MBB game in Brooklyn yesterday. I was disappointed we didn't have more fans today. I had fun, nonetheless.
