Phx and Connecticut - both in 2nd place but the Merc barely...
Minny and San Antonio - SA has lost 4 in a row and is in danger of being caught by LA for the 4th and final playoff spot. Personally i'd love to see LA make it and face Minny in the first round.
LA and Tulsa - LA closing in on SA for the final playoff spot...
Washington and Chicago - virtual must win for Chicago and even then it might not be enough as they are now 2 games behind surging Atlanta for the 4th playoff spot...
there's not much benefit this year in ending up one of the last 4 teams in both leagues as i don't think the draft is very strong at all and there aren't any players who can come in and make an instant impact, or take a team from the cellar to a play off contender. Ogwumike, Stricklen, Johnson (Glory and Shenise), Williams (Riquina), Kizer, Hayes, Hampton, Peters, Prahalis, Sykes, Bravard...
no offense to any of those young women - while they make all be solid performers in the WNBA, none are real game changers for a team...
