UConn men's basketball junior Solo Ball has been named BIG EAST Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday (Feb. 16). Ball averaged a team-best 22.0 points in wins at Butler and vs. Georgetown.

They should just change this award to “highest scorer of the week”. Yeah he scored a lot of points…..but his defense was horrific in the Georgetown game. Silas was way more valuable in that game than Solo, I’m sorry. These awards are a joke, they all just look at who scored the most points, so why not just call it what it is?

That is one of the toughest guys to guard in the entire BE.
