I know Diaco mentioned reaching out to the fan base via social media..and I hope things are waiting until staff is completely filled...BUT I just saw this from Dave Clawson:
Dave Clawson ‏@CoachClawson4m
Happy New Year to Deacons everywhere. Lots to look forward to in 2014! #GoDeacs

I really hope the athletic department gives Diaco everything he asks for so he can do the job he wants to do!

You hope the school sets him up with a Twitter account?

If they want to set him up that's fine...he was the one who put it out there in comments he has made about reaching out to the fan base...like to see him follow through with stuff like that if he talks about it.

Coming from a guy with two thumbs who just recently began following Twitter (read: this guy), I agree that it is important to get Diaco and staff on Twitter ASAP. Not that they can do much recruiting on it, but it's the presence that is important. It's all part of the perception change that is important for UCONN to stay relevant and, hopefully, find a new conference home.
