The Queen is dead! Long live the Queen/King!

I screwed up by putting this on the General Board when I wanted the main UConn audience to vote...my euphoria got the better of me...:D

Of all the coaches listed in the poll, I'm guessing Mulkey has the most victories head to head against Geno? Maybe Tara second. For some of those rising younger coaches, I'd say they have to beat Geno more than once before they can be considered a rival.

Kim and Tara spend to much time avoiding Geno when the rosters don’t favor their schools

Isn’t Baylor one of the only schools who doesn’t have a losing record to UConn? The series is tied at 4-4!

I wonder who the "Other" vote was for? Poor Tara and Jeff getting no love from the BYers and both are pretty good recruiters...

Kim is the clear #2 coach IMO. She has been notorious for underperforming in NCAAs but her teams are always excellent and a real threat to the Huskies.

Guessing Dawn will be the most hated coach by UCONN fans. Graves is another one to watch if he can land more top kids.

Apparently the word Rival is being interpreted differently by some than #1 threat.

Dawn would make the most sense, being a Philly native and all. And as Orang says, she pushes all the buttons just as Muffet had been known to.

I ticked Dawn here, but it's for lack of any clearer options. No other rivalry will be the same because no other coach, even if they were to beat UConn multiple times, has that combination of bitterness and classlessness that Muffet has.

Dawn catches some deserved flak for some of her nonsense, but fundamentally I like her and I respect her as much as anyone else in the game. Plus she and Geno have been coaching together in USA Basketball for what seems like forever now.

Compare that to Muffet, whom USA Basketball, much to its credit, wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole.

Dawn and Kim both could prove to be excellent rivals to UConn in terms of quality and coaching excellent. Of course neither is Geno but Muffet was second on my list of best coaches. Waltz wouldn't be a bad choice either.

I was kinda curious why Tenn/Harper was not in the poll. She seemed to try and get the rivalry restarted last season and pick up where Pat left off.
Personally I don't see Vic as a rival based on his MSU experience, they only have that one fluke win against UConn.
