you know the Cougars are thinking what could have been?

I remember thinking how can we only be getting so few points (whatever the line was) and then the gambling gods did what they do best, shock the world

obviously a great win, I think next year can be pretty special with Big Game Bob :)

Thing is, we followed that victory with two very mediocre performances. I think the team has talent, certainly much more than they showed in the bowl. But Diaco has to step up his game. He has to put them in a position to win.

It was a great win to build on. Hopefully we will see more of those kind of wins in the next few years.

Something to build off of next season and hopefully end the recruiting season on a high note

This was posted previously.

Bama was beat by Ole Miss, which was beat by Memphis which was beat by Houston which as beat by...................UCONN!

So the question for Diaco is....Why the duckk didn't he win the NC? Fire his !

Hey, Marshall went from receiving no votes in the coaches' poll to finishing 32nd with 15 votes on the strength of their victory against us!

Do I smell a new rivalry game?

The Reasonably Polite Disagreement?
or maybe just The ConnHou?

When we caused turnovers, we won. Pretty simple. It was the same against UCF the year before.

And against a WVU team that was better than us also during the Fiesta Bowl season.

I can't wait to win the "Dogs and Cats" trophy next year...twice (AAC championship game)... ;)

That's silly. Everyone knows Tulsa is our natural rival in the AAC West.

UCONN didn't get that much credit for the win because everybody knows that if Ward wasn't injured, UCONN wouldn't have won. He was 13-0 (19-2 overall) as a starter this past season for a reason.

But what about that landmark "next man up" strategy that you talked about prior to the game? I thought Herman had re-written the book on how to not let injuries deny greatness.

And you probably know this...but UConn played without their starting qb also...you might want to share that excuse with message boards that didn't actually watch the game.

UConn wasn't at full strength either our backup won that game, get over it.

Ok so the bowl win for Houston doesn't count then because their qb was out, you can't have it both ways. Last I checked Ward did play in that game against Uconn. Look Houston is the better team then Uconn no one is disputing that but Uconn was the better team on that day. Injuries are part of the game but the show must still go on.
