So Ruthy, ya say yer 6'4" ... really!?

Haters are saying "Fake News". Never happened, that pic was photoshopped!!! That's the new world we live in!!!

Not only did Gabby out jump Hebard, she did it with her eyes closed.
Her eyes are closed she is squinting from all the flash bulbs going off in the arena.

Does anybody else think that Gabby looks forward to the opening tap, takes it very personally and wants to send a message?

Early in the season, Gabby lost a bunch of opening taps. Subsequently, she improved her timing and now wins just about every opening tap with her quickness off the floor as much as her leaping ability.

We have played 36 games. I think Gabby has won the tip about 30 times.

Did anyone notice that Kaila Charles--and not Brionna Jones--jumps center for Maryland?

As impressive as this jump was Gabby's tip-off against UCLA was even better. Monique Billings is, also 6'4", but is known for her jumping ability, and yet, Gabby won the opening tap.

This picture could very well be hung somewhere (lobby?) in UConn's Werth Family Basketball Champions Center for the enjoyment by all who would look upon it.

A note underneath the photo could read: "UConn's Gabby Williams (5'11") out jumps Oregon's 6'4" Ruth Hebard for the tip at the Bridgeport Regionals March 20, 2017
By close to a foot I'd say.

I just checked the opening tap against Florida State. I was curious if Gabby could out jump Shakayla Thomas who at 5'11" can dunk. Gabby won the jump. Gabby, also, out jumped Alaina Coates of South Carolina who is 6'4". Gabby not only jumps higher but she gets off the floor quicker than the other girls. She is the greatest athlete I've ever seen in women's basketball.

Is that Geno's twin brother (in the blue sweater) in the stands -- just to the left of the ball?!

"Do you want this? Do you want this ball? Go ahead, take it... haha too slow!"

I hope that all of you noticed that she does not have a couple of fingers on that ball, but she has her whole hand on that ball to direct it toward her target Husky.

I recall in an interview after the Oregon game, a reporter asked Gabby about the Duck strategy of leaving Gabby and Naphessa open for mid range shots and she said (paraphrasing) that it was nuts to leave Naphessa open for those shots since she can make those shots with her eyes closed.

Seems Gabby may be trying this approach in future.

If only one action photo taken during the 2017 NCAA tournament could capture the dominance of Gabulous and the UConn Huskies, this may be it.

BTW, did anyone notice the young lass in Press Row- she's in the left edge of this photo - student paper for Oregon maybe? All night she looked like she just swallowed vinegar.

Either that, or she's 3-4 days backed up, and desperately needs an enema.
