I couldn't find the 6 team link on that page. It might have had something to do with the GIF file of the girl and her hand and....what was I saying again?

, i'll try the other way i found it. basically i saw it on wvu and then another link from a fsu board. the issue is u need to be a member of 247 to read the post becuase its a insider post. i'm not a paying member so i had to read a couple threads to understand what they were talking about.

for the to cool for schools guys if u don't enjoy me then just leave it alone.

That thread is the basis for your 'rumor'? A bunch of presumably grown men who think at the level where using a chick greasing her tits as their avatar makes sense is the basis for something you're putting some amount of faith in?

Do you see why it's hard to take these posts seriously? Do you think there is a chance in this lifetime that North Carolina is actually going to the Big 12? No, no, no, no, no and duck*, no. It's just message board nonsense in simply maddening quantities. My God, the bandwidth.

At the risk of setting off a sulk, it's okay to have an unexpressed thought every now and again. Less can be more, etc., etc.

its linked somewhere in this page of the thread

lots of pretty girls to looka t also in that thread...

If you follow the link, the moderator of the Baylor board on 247 apparently is almost an actual journalist. He claims that the Big 12 is looking at 6 teams with the plan of taking 4. Allegedly Louisville and BYU are not part of the 6, which would be good news if true. Still, a dump truck driving over the ACC is probably not a good thing for UConn, because I do not think we are anywhere in their expansion plans.

"apparently is almost an actual journalist" What? Did he sleep at a Holiday Inn last night?

If UConn is not in the ACC's plans, the dump truck is not a bad thing.

Granted, we would be going to an ACC that looks a lot like the previous incarnation of the Big East, but there is nothing that alters a mindset like a dump truck rolling through it.

But, honestly, can anyone see the Big 12 taking four teams from the ACC? I don't see how that pitch flies, even to FSU or Clemson.

Come, leave your well-established, well-funded conference for our perhaps better funded, built-on-quick-sand conference. Don't think about the $20M check you have to write to leave nor the fact that your path to the new playoff format is no longer through Virginia, Miami and Georgia Tech, it's through Texas, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.

I just don't see it.

this is why u can't see it^^^.
if 4 acc schools and lville/cincy for example:
fsu/clem/lville/cincy/md/vt (schools dont' matter for the example.

well funded?
the acc is only getting 15mil. the big16 would be over 25mil per. they have 20mil per for 10 teams. the csg has been said to add 2-3 mil per once they get 12 teams(lville/cincy). then fsu/clem add value and your talking up and up from there. thats a big difference. the buy out from the acc gets paid off quick with that. plus in the big16 you get your tier 3 to sell yourself. thats a couple mil to most teams.

the acc is well established in bball and has a good fball history. but since the bcs has been in play its bowl record is horrible compared to the big east and others.

the GOR doesn't make it quicksand i don't think. plus if the owrst case ever happened which was 12 years from now texas left, you would still have a east coast division of the same teams, it doesn't hurt you that much. tcu could goto the west div and the east could add another coastal team. but texas isn't leaving a league set up like this. it rivals the sec on the field potentially, they get there network stuff and a home cooked travel schedule, the game vs ok for the csg bid etc..they will be happy.

fsu's schedule could look like this

clem
wvu
tcu
md
vt
cincy
lville
cross division game
ooc or another cross
ooc
ooc
fcs

thats not exactly death row scchedule in texas. there playing a little tougher schedule then what the acc gave them, but its not brutal. they can win that division and goto the csg to play ok or tex every year.

This is why reading this board is so much fun. The one voice of reason loses his squash due to the volume of loony tune posts. Fishy is the message board version of Dick Louden.

I like how your imaginary FSU Big 12 schedule contains no teams that have ever played a league game. Maryland to the Big 12!

The academic fraud at UNC is only going to make it harder to move. They are going to have to pretend that academics matter more then ever now.

This board has completely diverged from reality, haven't you noticed? C'mon, get a glove and get in the game!

You keep saying that, but for your reality to be true, then $15MM must be greater than $25MM+++, because that is the gap between the ACC's deal and the Big 12's deal.

It might be the gap today. It might not be the gap today. It might not be the gap tomorrow.

I thought you were Johnny Negotiations? So you really think you have a handle on whats happening with message board nonsense, made up sources and info that is selectively leaked?

Has the fact you haven't been right about anything crossed your mind yet?

No, my reality is not based on rumors by people on message forums. You are as consistently inconsistent as Carl Sparkles. When someone posts something that doesn't fit in with your view you refute it and dismiss the poster becuase they haven't sourced it to your satisfaction. And yet you willfully supoort some mod on a board simply because you want to believe what he says. And then you run with that, creating even more bizarre, factless scenarios. The funniest part is that 5 years down the road if some nugget of all the pap you've posted comes true, you'll tell us all that you called it and we all laughed at you. My response to that is that if you throw enough against the wall...well...some of it will stick. Good for you!

i believe the B12 deal is worth 20m/year, not 25m. when you add in that FSU has to pay i believe $20 mil to leave, it's not quite the no-brainer that you make it out to be. i guess everything's easier to prove when you make up your own numbers
