It’s 2013 we are asking who killed JR. Assad is still president of Syria . And Harriet Unger is leaving CPTV.

After 33 years I’ve decided to hang up my headset. It was not an easy decision to make, but the correct one for me. It has been an amazing run and I leave feeling great pride in all that I have accomplished – be it national and local productions and of course, UConn Women’s Basketball! What fun that was for 18 years.

My last day was Friday.

While this is farewell, it is not a goodbye. I will be producing the WNBA’s Connecticut Sun games for CPTV Sports this summer and will continue directing the Connecticut Forum and Beyond The Beat. And I hope to be doing more for CPTV and CPTV Sports.

I have formed Short Girl Productions, specializing in entertainment, self-help, studio-based programming (sports included) and program representation. I hope to be bringing programs to the PBS system and beyond. There IS life after public television, and I plan on jumping in head first! My first production is planned for May 5.

I'll still be checking in on the Boneyard...after all, first and foremost, I'm a fan!

My best to you,
Harriet

Thanks Harriet for all you have contributed over the years,

Harriet - The best to you and, yes, there is life after CPTV (and it might even be a better life).

BTW: Hope to see you post more often here.

Harriet - best wishes on your new endeavors and THANK YOU SO MUCH for all you have done for UCWBB fans!

In the Fall of 1980, I was living in the downtown Hartford YMCA (on the only women's floor!) while attending the University of Hartford as a sophomore. All of those items you listed really brought back memories!

Harriet, thanks for everything, and may you accomplish all you hope for and MORE!

Harriet, thanks for all your good work and best of luck to you.

"Short Girl Productions". Cute. You'll always hold a High Stature with me. ;)

I'll be looking for your Production Company tag on many programs to come.

Best of luck going forward and thanks for all you've done in the past.

Good luck Harriet, we appreciate all you did for our enjoyment of uconn basketball
