Sorry, for me it was just a preseason game, which I did not get to see....we need to see our new players in lots of games.
No doubt BC football has taken a beating of late including today (Had to get that in. Way to go Huskies! Great win! Another Bowl this year for sure.) While BC's men's hockey program has been and still maintains itself as one of the best NCAA Div I programs winning five championships, the last in 2012, football is still the primary driver of BC's Athletic Dept revenue with ticket sales, sponsorships and media rights deals. It's those lucrative income deals that BC didn't want to share. Talk about short-sighted. Look for example at North Carolina. There's UNC, NC State, Duke, Wake Forest and E Carolina all sharing a relatively small geographical area and it works.Maybe, but the team they love is hockey - they’ve actually won championships in that sport. And, oh by the way, UConn stole their coach 😎
We need to keep some decorum on the Boneyard when talking about rival schools. "It sucks to be BC" is not exactly appropriate language to say to the losing team. How about "can't imagine how awful BC fans must be feeling realizing how their football team got completely shellacked by the strong and determined UConn Huskies". On second thought, maybe the quip "sucks to be BC" after yesterday's performance is apropos. So nevermind.Sucks to be BC.
True, but Pittsburgh was also a plaintiff in that suit and they were the team that replaced us in the ACC. Also, I don't think Syracuse was a defendant in the suit as they were still in the big east when it was filed. But that was a lot of years ago and I'm not motivated enough to look it up.Good summary of the history of only one fact is missing. Our then attorney general , sue em all , sorry, Blumenthal chose to sue Syracuse and BC on their departure from the Big East. That should all be behind us, but some people have long memories. Adding UCONN now would be a big plus for the struggling ACC
BC is a college sailing power. Some good WLacrosse and a Hockey Blue blood
True enough for the moment, but in the bigger picture, the harsh reality is that if 100 kids get acceptance letters from "both" BC and Uconn (next April), 90 of the 100 will / would pick BC (if their parents can afford it). And there is a reason for that ! Uconn is improving but when the ACC was /is looking at Uconn, they didn't / don't see a Duke, North Carolina, Virginia. When the BIG is looking at Uconn, they don't see a Michigan, Northwestern, Wisconsin. They apparently don't even see a Syracuse or Rutgers. They see a dominant basketball school with a ways to go yet on most other frontsSucks to be BC.

New pollJust saying.
(UConn women's hockey is currently ranked number 11, I believe.)
The men moved up to number 11 after splitting with Ohio State over the weekend.
The women beat then #15 Princeton twice over the weekendThe men moved up to number 11 after splitting with Ohio State over the weekend.

Those ACC schools you mentioned supported UConn's candidacy IIRC.True enough for the moment, but in the bigger picture, the harsh reality is that if 100 kids get acceptance letters from "both" BC and Uconn (next April), 90 of the 100 will / would pick BC (if their parents can afford it).
