What a joke! P5 says it all. What happened to all the TA's that got let go for not taking attendance and not teaching anything during the summer. I suppose if they shot someone in downtown Raleigh they could cover that up to. GO HUSKIES!!!!!!!!!!!!

Too big to fail.

Now Louisville will probably get a sternly worded letter in their permanent file.

P5 and their conferences are a corrupting cancer on college athletics. NCAA is a paper tiger unless they want to take down kids for taking too much laundry money or selling autographs. If it involves institutions engaged in massive academic fraud, kickbacks, conflicts of interest, child molestation cover ups and anticompetitive revenue deals, then not a word to be heard.

I actually hope that the NCAA will get such negative feedback from this that they will actually take action against Louisville. And give it less than a 10% chance of happening but hope springs eternal, right?

The NCAA is a sham. nothing more, nothing less.
It's like putting the wolf in charge of defending the hen house and being surprised that you are missing a couple chickens here and there.

The NCAA's only goal is to prove it's necessity and collect a healthy sum of cash in the process to pay it's leadership. They will never come down hard on their large P5 members as that would only hurt their ability to generate more cash.

I sincerely hope that the FBI investigations leads right to Emmerts door.

Is anyone really surprised? If the NCAA didn't give the death penalty to Penn State, then you can get away with anything.

The issue is that The NCAA's primary source of revenue is the basketball tournament. They are not in the business of knee capping a program that makes them money. It would be like a pimp reprimanding his top girl for finding creative ways of earning him more money. Louisville will be an interesting situation. The infractions are so bold and so well publicized that they may be actually forced to act.

Actually it’s more likely that they wouldn’t come down hard on a P5 program because they are petrified that those P5 school will break away and take with them the Tournament that makes them so much money. In the end, it doesn’t matter. The P5 will break away sooner or later and college sports will be ruined as will the tournament.

There's too many D1 schools that are relevant that don't have P5 football programs.

The drama...

FBI makes this a whole different ballgame. No way the NCAA slaps Ville's wrist if the Feds produce serious convictions. They'll mimic the same severity the FBI does. Too big of a PR nightmare if they don't. Leah Remini should do a series on what a farce the NCAA is too.
