Actually I really don't care that much but was hoping to change the subject from the ESPN3 discussion.

I suspect the extra four hours of drinking will have some sort of impact. Just hope ppl aren't stupid about it. Curious how much of a beating Saban takes when he goes back to Baton Rouge (no, not comparing RE to Nick).

Night games usually have a better game atmosphere. I expect a loud crowd. If we are 1-2 after Michigan it won't matter when the game starts.

I would hope the playbook goes wide open vs MD. Give Michigan plenty to prepare for.

PP can't afford to hold back for the AAC games.

Unless we get our together as a fanbase it won't affect his reception at all. Maryland fans will cheer and UConn fans will start the hour long discussion of "should we start to break down the grill and head in?".

@&$#%... Just realized I'm supposed to be at a wedding that night and was counting on a noon start... This is a problem.

Not even going to argue with a guy who uses the word faux on a Football message board. I'm looking forward to what you write after your 2nd Zima.

Okay here it goes, you take a laxative early in the day (and claim you got food poisoning), then you get into an all out argument with your girl/wife about how your not gonna spend all night on the sh1tter at your friend's wedding. Convince her to go with out you and you head to the game. Make sure printout some fake clinic/ER paperwork off the internet in case she gets home before you. Try not to come home smelling like beer or wearing your UConn gear if she is home. Trust me, this works. If she calls do not answer the phone during a big play.

I like the way you guys think. I was also thinking of ducking the reception and showing up in Section 231 in my suit and tie.

Since there's an Edsall mention in this thread any idea where my fellow Edsall apologista BizLaw might be?

I didn't want to start a thread asking where he is and was just wondering if he's well.

I don't know how to link the thread but he popped up tonight and I told him I almost started a thread last night asking if he's OK. I'm paraphrasing but BL said he's been busy with work, golf and life and he'll wait for FB season to come around because the BY isn't as enjoyable as it used to be.

If this game was two years ago, I would care more. So many bad things have happened to the program the last couple years, I don't really have the distaste for RE the way I used to. I wish he hadn't left the way he did, but we have bigger issues to worry about than his return to the Rent. He did a lot of good things for the program and I actually think he is a good fit for MD as they transition to the Big 10. This is going to be a very tough game and my passion for winning this game is more about proving the football program is worthy of a major conference than it is about getting revenge on Randy.

I cared a lot more about last year's game than this one in terms of revenge. Right now beating our old HC is about 5th on my list of concerns for the season. I won't be able to make the game, but if I did I'd probably give him a polite golf clap when they announce this name. This will be a fun start to the season with two former coaches coming to the Rent and then Michigan.
