WVU did what they had to do and nobody should complain about being in the Big 12. That said, WVU football was top dog in the BE, but they will be mid tier in the Big 12. Basketball will struggle as a geographic outlier and it showed this year. Athletically, we will hear less and less about WVU in the future except for an occasional good year.

I think it is the blue and gold network. Or some such. WVU stuff, but lots of Big XII guys. There is another thread here about a thread there, best schools outside looking in. The WVU do pray at the Big 12 alter as nauseum.

Thanks.....I don't waste my time on other boards because they're usually full of crap I don't care about. If I was a fan of another school I'd probably say the exact same thing about the BY.

The problem for WVU was that while rescued, they are on the worng boat and all the $$ they are making is drying up in a sea of expenses associated with flying their kids and adminstrators to the plains to participate in sports. More, as someone else mentioned, they are losing their brand identity as no one thinks of them as a B12 school. Had they waited a year, they would be in the ACC, and making more money. Had they waited 2, they might have ended up in the SEC, although unlikely. You can argue the ACC is worse off than the B12 (I would not), but the fact remains WVU has made no more money than they would have had they played the card Louisville did.
