An interesting comparison! My first year of UConn fandom was Debbie's senior year...Rebecca was a frosh.
I saw quite a few games in person...uhh...not hard to find good seats..at $5 per. We know about 'pass-first
point guards'. Debbie was not that. She was a 'pass first/pass second/pass third point'. Open lay-up shots...maybe.
Rarely anything else. She was good...I'm pretty sure she was starting point in her junior year on the 1991 Cinderella
UConn team that made its first final four appearance...losing to Virginia in the semis.

She was not near the physical player that Nika is...defensively and offensively...nor did she have a bit of a chippy
attitude on the court but in some important ways she WAS Nika before Nika.
