I would argue that it doesn't matter, due to the protection. But I'd also argue that if this game continues the way it has gone in the first half, PP might not be on the payroll by the time the bus gets back into Storrs. Desperation might hasten the QB situation...

Save Boyle's redshirt, put in Cochran and see if he can play. He's looked awful in spring games but maybe the feel of live game action will spurt something. Can't be any worse than this.

I'd offer a different solution if they decide to switch Whitmer for someone other than Boyle; how about Taylor? I know nothing about the young man other than the fact that he is our only dual-threat QB in the stable. And we have zero run game and zero protection, so...
