They did that

Yeah but they could have done it around 11-12 seconds Boyle waited at least two seconds looking around when everyone was already set. Stopped them from being able to take another shot comfortably.

Nice FG to give a glimmer of hope for the team going into halftime

Boyle has quite a bit of talent but he needs a ton of work (and I believe the manner in which he was used last season set him back quite a bit.

I have no issue with the way the current staff has been spoon-feeding him (regardless of what Palatine says) as shy of redshirting him for this entire season (which he was unable to do once Casey retired), this was likely the best way to prepare him for next season. Throwing him into the fire again this year may have destroyed him.

Well down multiple scores. That is the prerequisite before we throw the ball on first down right?
You called that one A1A. I'm impressed.

Boyle just looks raw, as he should. He hasn't played much.

Stop. Please stop.

Unless this is sarcasm, then well played, sir.

I'm not ready to give up on Boyle. . I think he looks fine. Just raw. He's got all the experience of a red shirt freshman with a few games under his belt. Tough crowd here.
No hate for Timmy but he is outclassed.
Is he the future? Doubtful.
He has a rocket but he seems always off, and I guess it's a toss up between giving him reps and throwing up over another loss.
I'd like to not puke just one week, but if I thought he was our guy next year I'd be ok with it. Just not seeing it. Hope I'm wrong.

Gee look what happens when we let the kid throw.

Around here a couple of drops and not calling a pass on until third and long gets you labeled as a bad QB after 20 minutes of play. Start calling some decent plays for a guy that can zip the ball downfield and maybe we'll see progress. He needs PT and to get out of the first and run mentality before we can make a judgement. And like I said earlier can we please attempt to set up Davis beyond a short out pattern.
