how emeka isnt at the very least number 2 on your guys list is absolutely mind boggling. for he is our only NPOY.
This is true. But the idea of Jimmer sweeping the awards from Kemba is something that history will not look kindly upon.

I think Nelson was the official winner but he and Oak shared some awards. I feel like the top four names could be put in a hat and whoever you pull out as no. 1 should not dissappoint. Before last season, I would have Ray and Oak tied for no. 1 with Rip 1a. SNY's top 10 Big East players had Ray ranked no. 4, first among Huskies, right in line with Husky Heroes. I' m ok with Ray no. 1. He will be the first Husky Hall of Famer that's for sure.

I dont disagree that it is tough putting Ray 1st without an NC, but on the flip side, here is a stat to chew on regarding Rays Excellence:

UCONN's Big East Regular Season Record during Rays tenure?:

37-5

Mind Boggling.

First how was Rudy Gay put in the Huskys Ring of Honor at all and how was he put in before KEA or Caron(the only 2 year player who actually deserves that honor IMO) or Ben.
Secondly the list is pretty acurate maybe not number placement though-Smitty should have been alot higher and I feel that whoever was #1 should have won a title(no disrespect to Ray).

Also, no honorable mention of Corney Thompson he is at least in the discussion( as well as Burrell who was mentioned).

It has to be near impossible to find a home game that works for both UConn and Ben, Caron & Khalid. The all star break really is the only time Ben and Caron can do it. This year it worked out for Rudy but there is no guarantee of UConn even having a home game during the all star break. I don't know what Khalid is doing these days but I assume he is overseas so there really is no way he gets inducted until he retires and comes home.

Even more mind-boggling -- it was actually 49-5.

I have to put elAmin #1 for the simple reason that he brought the one piece that had been missing for so many years. UCONN had been so close so many times, suddenly this pudgy point guard shows up and it was just different. Rip would be #2 for the same reason...the first national championship was the hardest of all, I think...then Ray, he was far and a way the best player, then Kemba Walker, Emeka, Donyell, Kimball, Caron Butler, and I'm really tempeted to put Nadev henefeld somewhere on my list...I will always have the image of him standing on the foul line, with the Georgetown guys yelling anti-semetic comments and calmly hitting free throws. He brought a different feeling to UCONN basketball...he wasn't willing to give in to bigger names...The other guy I have to think deserves a place is Bialasuknia...Look at his scoring and keep in mind that there was NO 3-POINT shot when he did it.28 ppg... Those kind of numbers would be incredible today with the 3.

I don't know what the actual numbers are, but I remember reading in one of those UConn basketball history books that during Ray's three years in Storrs, the Huskies were never out of first place in the Big East. That's mind blowing...

16-2 + 16-2 + 17-1. 49-5. Right?
Only one BET title, though

Thats why i think Uconn blew an opportunity earlier this season during the NBA lockout when all these guys could have made it a point to come back. It would have been a nice touch if they even did it at midnight madness. It seems like Uconn got away from putting people in after the ceremony in 2007. It was great they added Kemba last year at the rally, but i think more guys need to be up on that wall. (Gordon, El-Amin, Butler)
