The bottom of the ball was below the rim when he touches it. Holy what a blown call. these effers.

You don't blow a 7 point lead with less than 1.5 minutes in the game!

A couple of bonehead plays to finish the game. Well done SMU.

Regardless, the refs don't call an goaltending when the ball is below the rim. There are 3 men getting paid out there. The kids blowing a lead are playing a game. The refs are working a job. You don't up that bad.

Guess the HoF coach couldn't make a switch on Alford's son who lit Nic the Dic up
I don't care about the goal tending call - UCLA had a lot of unforced errors
But why not put a bigger guy on a known sharpshooter who lights you up for 9 of 11 threes?
UCLA had virtually no other threats

Unreal.

Looking forward to the AAC getting pummeled, while the Big12 lost two 3 seeds today already.

A big thank you to SMU for furthering the embarrassment of the AAC. Please next time just leave it to UCONN to represent the conference the right way in the big dance.

Sincerely,

One of the easiest paths to the Final Four thrown away. Dammit.

The call was horrible but the fact is that it should have never have come down to that. Can't believe this was a Larry Brown coached team down the stretch. 2 possessions in a row they could have taken another 10 seconds off the clock and rush shots and then the inbounds to their big who didn't look back to Brown who was wide open or better yet just wait a second and inbounds to Moore your best foul shooter who they weren't double teaming but it didn't even appear he was an option on the inbounds.
When SMU was were up 4 and were running the clock and UCLA wasn't fouling with only about a 20 second difference I was like what are you doing UCLA, game over, but they rush the shot and basically choke.

So far refs have handed Notre Dame and UCLA a victory. P-5 rules.

It was hard to tell by the different camera angles if it would have caught the rim or not, but regardless it was so off that you just don't make that call at that point in the game. If it hit the rim it would have barely grazed the bottom. It wasn't like the play interfered with some chance of it going in or even a rebound to be had there.

Moore must feel sick to his stomach as does all of SMU nation. And of course it doesn't bode well for the AAC, making our conference look worse than it really is.

Good news for them is they return Moore, Kennedy, and some other key pieces next year, should easily be back in the tournament and get a chance to avenge this loss
