Not often you see a team lose a 7 pt lead in 1:00 like SMU did with 4:00 to go. They were in total control.
Tough one for SMU.

Rick, not Richard, coached the last minute....from the stands. Told them to foul, how to defend the inbounds pass. Just yelling out directions like a boss. Funny to watch, especially with Peyton Siva next to him clowning him about it.

When SMU went from 1 up to 7 up in almost no time I was about to post here that they're great closers.

And just as quickly, they weren't.

Sheesh. They got sloppy those last 2 minutes. Couple of bad TOs. Still a good showing making the finals.

SMU next year will have Nic Moore (returning 1st team all AAC), Mudiay (top 3 recruit), Frazier (Sophomore, was a McD 1 year ago), Markus Kennedy (returning all AAC 2nd team, very solid big) along with Moreira (very athletic 4 star Juco big who battled injuries all year).

This is a top 20 team that could possibly be top 5 if Turner commits.
