UConn was left behind prior to this loss. I think this is our first FCS loss since joining a D1 conference.

Rutgers has lost to an FCS school and they were just grabbed up.

Losing to an FCS apparently does not disqualify you, as Rutgers and Pitt know too well.

The only way I can think of responding to your spot on rebuttle:

All I see is a whole lot more speed, athleticism and intensity. They will utterly destroy us if the same UCONN shows up for that game. Look at a 62 -7 loss.

I think that was Edsell's sick genius (not a big fan, but obviously should have been). Grinding in the trenches and sliwingvrhe game down neutralizes these type of teams. Think how we handled Baylor. We come in playing their game and we get whacked bad.

I'm really not sure about this since the talent on the later defenses had NFL caliber speed. Tyvon Branch, Sio Moore, Blidi, Gratz, Darius Butler, Lutrus, Cody brown, Trevardo Williams, I know I'm missing many others. These were very very fast guys.

But I really agree with you when it comes to WR. We have been comparatively deficient there other than Kashif moore. We've been woefully deficient at QB for what seems like eons now.

TT has a walk on true freshman doing all this? Life is so unfair. Apparently PSU will be starting a true frosh vs Syracuse Saturday too. Damn....

Gilbert is terrible. Has no pocket presence and doesn't go through his progressions well. Refs didn't help SMU tonight either.

But of course when we play them Coach P will prepare for their running game rather than those short crossing patterns that they ran almost every single play tonight.

It only takes 3 or 4 bad calls going the same way to turn an evenly matched game into a blowout.

I'd kill for ttu's coach. Look at the energy on that sideline my god its contagious and fun and enjoyable and a host if other things I miss

The energy is good, but the guy is a grade 1 clown.
