Smallwood Leads the FBS in TFL

Smallwood will be the best backer to date at UCONN, if he's not already.

He and Sio took over the game yesterday.

He is eligible to come out for the draft this year. I think he stays one more year and leaves for the NFL.

3-4 defenses are now the norm in the NFL. Smallwood will grade out as a premium 3-4 backer. I think he can play inside and out. He is stout against the run (I have seen him stand up O Lineman several times) and is a very effective pass rusher. I actually think his best spot is as an OLB in the 3-4. He can seal the edge in the run and could be an 8-10 sack guy.
