It seems that the NCAA D3 tournament was cancelled this year but the D2 tournament is being played albeit with only 48 teams. The quarter finals are on Tuesday and our old friend Lubbock Christian is the number 1 seed.
In the NAIA, the tournament has been limited to 48 teams as well. The semis are on Monday. My team, Mt Vernon Nazarene, lost in the first round to number 1 seed Drury.
I miss the old format where 32 teams came to Oklahoma City and played the tournament in one week. The games were televised, a basketball junkie’s nirvana.
