We're having a baby shower that starts at 1:00 for my daughter who is expecting her first, baby girl, so everybody hold off on posting about the results of the game until I get to watch the replay. :)

It's actually at a location that has a huge TV screen so I should be able to sneak out at times and catch the score and a little of the action.

What a weird day and time to have this game. I guess since it no longer competes with NFL football they figured they'll get a lot of Hoops fans catching the game. But noon still seems early.

Hopefully our guys show up big since it's on a big stage. Hoping they win, start their run towards the postseason and break back into the top 25 on Monday.

I think grandparents are required to be on the fringe of showers whether it be baby or wedding. Not attending gets you a demerit which can be used against you in the future by your wife or daughter. “Dad, you never even went to Bubba’s baby shower because you thought the UConn game was more important!”

My daughter knows that on the totem pole of priorities, she may get bumped at times if the Huskies have a big game.
I always put family first. With that said, my wife is really good about it where we try to schedule things around most games.

In this case I should have looked closer to the UConn schedule since we were in somewhat control of scheduling the date.

No. GrandMOTHERS are required to attend. Along with the rest of the WOMEN.

Men attending baby showers is a beta move.

In the last couple weeks, you've had.....

1) Dove missing the Seton Hall game to go out to dinner.
2) Tenspro2002 bragging about betting against UConn and winning, and;
3) Dogmania missing a huge matchup because he's henpecked into attending a baby shower.

We are nowhere near making a three-peat run.

The baby shower seems pretty appealing right now.

I thought men weren't expected to go to baby showers. I would think that they wouldn't mind you missing, or even miss you.

It was a Jack & Jill, and more a social than a conventional shower. My wife and I coordinated it for her and her husband. We took it over from my X who wasn't doing it how my daughter wanted it. My wife, who is a gifted planner, did an amazing job. My part was staying out of the way, which I did amazingly. :)

Looks like it was a good game to miss. :(
