Georgetown had a good 3 point shooting game hitting 43.8% vs. 31.2% for the year which made today's game close. But, one of the biggest problems for UConn since the start of the year is that the bench has not shot well.

Here are some stats for the 9 games this year for the bench:

FG% = 33.8% (41-121)
3PT FG% = 21.3% (10-47)
FT% = 47.6% (20-42)
Assists/TO = 1.0 (31 and 31)

The individual players since the start of the year:

Joey C:
FG% = 20.0% (7-35)
3PT FG% = 26.1% (6-23)
FT% = 0 for 0 (has not taken a FT in 2023)
Assists/TO = 1.8 (9 and 5)

Alleyne:
FG% = 20.0% (6-30)
3PT FG% = 18.8% (3-16)
FT% = 50.0% (2-4)
Assists/TO = 1.4 (7 and 5)

Diarra:
FG% = 33.3% (7-21)
3PT FG% = 16.7% (1-6)
FT% = 44.4% (4-9)
Assists/TO = 1.1 (10 and 9)

Clingan:
FG% = 60.0% (21-35)
3PT FG% = none taken
FT% = 48.3% (14-29)

With Jackson in a slump and the bench struggling to shoot, UConn has struggled. Clingan is doing well as a solid sub off the bench, but UConn needs a solid guard off the bench and nobody has stood out.

10-12 bench points is probably all we get. The starters will be getting bulk of mins and they will need to score bulk of points. 4 of starters capable of 15 plus a game and Ajax half of that...we don't need alot more than 10 from bench.

In close games, we need strong guard play off the bench. One of the 3 bench guards needs to step up.

Wow, knew it was bad but that’s downright smelly
