Silas injury

This is pretty incredible. He definitely didn’t look 100%, but not nearly as bad as this injury would suggest. This is a 4-6 week injury.
Well having Smith playing his best basketball in the tourney helped with this for sure. That wasn't expected. Remember he had a couple big layups in the Championship game and really played a great first half when Demary got into foul trouble. Just more reason we need a good backup at PG this year as well as Center which we need a starter too now.

Wow, what a court Warrior!

I know Hurley took issue with Dauster claiming Silas had a 5-week injury, but it kind of seems to be the truth!
Mullins was out atleast that long.

Is there anything into the rumors that he entered the portal with planned visits to ASU and BYU with UConn still an option?

I really thought Silas was a very high return probability. This is the age of NIL tho ...

I have no idea, but his Father posted a couple of times yesterday stating He didn't want Silas to leave and that Uconn was the best thing for him.

I live near ASU, ASU basketball is where careers go to die. This is a pro sports town first and foremost.

Here is the article.

The headline of this article makes no sense. His father tweeted that he doesn’t want to “go down that road again,” and the headline seems to completely misrepresent that.

I’m still amazed by how many people fall for stupid headlines, fake accounts, and social media posts from nobodies, but maybe I shouldn’t be!

kid is tough as nails, plays super hard. Offense didn’t always click, but we know mastering this offense is a two year project. A bunch of us see a potential AA senior year.

I’d like to rewatch a bunch of games and see just how many clutch defensive plays he made during the year.

Silas and his family belong in the Husky Hall of Fame!

Silas leaving would be mind-boggling unless somebody was throwing twice the money out of him. Even then he needs to come back.

Will say UConn fans can be tough on guys that aren’t playing well but I don’t think we were critical of Silas in the tourney. We all appreciated that guy!

Yeah there’s definitely a lot of fake stuff out there on social media, no doubt. But Koby Del Rosario is a legit college hoops journalist. I’m not saying the report is true or not, just sharing the article that @OceanDoggie was referring to.
